VOID is an outdoor communal table with integrated bench seats designed to cope with harsh Australian weather conditions. Originally developed for the tertiary education sector, the TAFE NSW brief called for a relocatable and robust outdoor seating solution.

hardyhardy investigated various materials, finishes and fabrication techniques to come up with a visually minimal, yet dynamic product. The form is driven by efficiencies derived from fabricated manufacturing coupled with clever flush mounted connecting details for uninterrupted transitions between components.

VOID can be customised by specifying different timbers for the slats (spotted gum shown), as well as with various powder coat options or hot dip galvanised finish for the steel leg components.
